Rachel Gomez

Rachel Gomez

Veterans Affairs Paralegal

Rachel’s passion to help others navigate the legal system began early on in her life. From a young age, Rachel watched her father help active service members and veteran’s file their legal claims. This integral part of Rachel’s childhood sparked her interest in the law. This passion grew after witnessing a close friend’s frustration and unjust experience within the legal system. Due to these experiences, Rachel felt a calling to help others who are unable to or ill-equipped fight for themselves within the legal system.

Prior to becoming a paralegal, Rachel served in the United States Marine Corps. Rachel is dedicated to helping other veterans with their legal needs, especially regarding veteran benefits. Because Rachel understands veterans and the veteran benefits system on a personal level, she can easily navigate the system helping fellow veterans understand their rights and what they need to do to obtain a successful claim. Rachel offers expert advice and guidance, providing clients with realistic expectations. She is honored to assist veterans throughout their legal journey.

Rachel proudly served the United States during her time in the U.S. Marine Corps and served overseas in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) as an Ordnanceman. Besides helping veterans with their legal claims, Rachel assists with planning a yearly Veterans hike in Milwaukee through “Irreverent Warriors”, an organization aimed at bringing veterans together using humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide. Rachel continues to educate herself on veteran’s issues and is currently researching chemical exposure and its impact on Veteran’s health.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys playing the banjo and going to live music shows – especially rock concerts.
